BENSYNTH goal is to develop a chemical synthetic methodology for benfotiamine, the active ingredient of many drugs available on the international market. Thus, we aim to perform fundamental research related to all experimental details of each reaction step, making use of modern techniques to monitor and control the reactions progress and quality of the targets (i.e. NMR, XRD) and to set the proper reactions conditions consistent with application at industrial level.
